How to Hydrate Dry Hair

Dry hair will always look flaky and sometimes disorderly. The reason is that they don’t retain moisture or lack the oil that will give it that bright and smooth texture. Keeping to this routine once or twice a week can restore moisture to dry hair.

6. Gelatin

You need to start this process with clean hair. Add one cup of warm water to one tablespoon of gelatin and mix. Let the mixture stand for about five minutes so that the gelatin will partially set. Include six drops of essential oil (any one of your choice) and one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and blend. Apply the mixture to your hair and rinse after ten minutes. Gelatin is a rich source of hair protein, and it can help moisturize your hair for a shiny, smooth texture.

7. Coconut oil mask

Gently massaging coconut oil into your hair and scalp has a soothing feeling. In addition to that, it helps to moisturize the hair as well as give it a glossy look. You can prepare your coconut oil hair mask by boiling coconut oil with curry leaves for about three minutes. Allow it to cool and apply to the hair, after which you cover it up with a warm towel. Rinse afterward.

8. Beer

Beer tastes good, but your hair loves it too. After shampooing comes conditioning, but this time, use beer as a conditioner. Simply spray a mist of beer on your hair and allow it to air-dry. Interestingly, beer contains a protein that helps to repair the cuticles, thereby restoring the shiny and smooth texture of the hair.

9. Oils

The oil extracts from almond, coconut, castor, and so on are rich in antioxidants and vitamin E. They can help to seal the outer layer of the cuticle as well as mask the hair to reduce water loss and damage by UV radiations. Warm any of the oil and rub it into your hair. Allow to stand overnight or for an hour. Rinse afterward.
