Dos and don’ts of hair care

It is important to take care of your hair so that it can look and feel its best. Frizzy, dry, or unhealthy locks don’t make for a great social life, especially when you try new things out! In order not to have this problem at all times just be sure to keep up with the basic hair care routine. Here are some tips that may help you take better care of your hair:

  • Do wash your hair

Do not scrub the scalp vigorously during hair wash. A softer touch would ensure your scalp stays healthy even if you leave the shampoo on your hair for a long time. If you find any particular shampoo working best for you, don’t change it every time someone mentions a different brand name. Stick to what works best for your hair type. Remember, if the shampoo bottle has an expiry date, do not try and use it beyond that date.

  • Do rinse and repeat

Try not to use too much shampoo on the first go, as some people tend to do. Less is more in this case, as excess lather can make your scalp dry and frizzy. So, wash your hair with less product. And rinse with a good conditioner for smooth, soft, manageable hair.

  • Do apply hair oil

Hair needs proper nourishment, especially when you are stressed out, tired, or sleep-deprived. Apply a generous amount of nourishing oil like coconut, almond, or olive oil to your hair and scalp before going to bed. You can wash off the excess product after half an hour or leave it overnight, whichever works best for you.

  • Do follow a healthy diet

Eating healthier is the best way to pamper your hair internally. Load up on Vitamin A, which effectively improves blood circulation to the scalp that enhances hair growth. Vitamin C is also essential as it boosts collagen production, which aids faster healing of split ends. Vitamin E stimulates hair follicles to produce thicker and shinier, feel-good locks.

  • Don’t skip sleep

It would help a lot if you could get 8 hours of sleep every night so that your body has enough time to repair itself from within. This will help you look fresh and give you healthy hair.

  • Don’t skip physical activity

Physical activity helps burn excess calories, which, in turn, reduces stress levels. We have an active lifestyle that benefits our overall well-being when we have less stress, including healthier locks.

  • Don’t be impatient

Ever heard the saying “Rome wasn’t built in a day”? Well, it applies to hair as well because you can’t expect to see great results overnight. It takes time and patience to see the difference between healthy nourished hair over dry, damaged ones. So, be patient with the new changes in your hair rather than expecting overnight results.

Homeopathic hair care

Hair care is all about using the right product on our locks at regular intervals. You can also visit a homeopathic doctor for good hair health and new hair growth. Homeopathy has many effective hair care solutions. Homeopathic doctors provide treatment according to your hair type. A homeopathic doctor will examine the root cause of hair loss and prescribe medicines for both internal and external applications depending on the nature of the disorder. Internally, homeopathic remedies help improve an individual’s overall health, including better blood circulation, increased energy levels, and reduced stress.
